Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are quilled flowers?
A: Quilled flowers are created from thin strips of paper that have been cut (or fringed) and then rolled into a coil.  Almost any text weight paper can be used, offering a vast assortment of colors and textures.

Q: Where did you learn to quill?
A:
I saw an article in a magazine and thought the fringed flowers were particularly beautiful. I started experimenting with different papers and paper edgers to create unique flowers.

Q: I love the quilled flowers, but I have already chosen stationery for my event. Can I just order calligraphy and/or quilled flowers?
A:
Yes. However, some papers are less suited for calligraphy and may bleed. Papers made from 100% cotton fiber are typically the best medium for calligraphy, although any paper’s suitability should be tested. In any case, we will make every effort to work with you to bring your vision to life.

Q: Where are you located?
A:
Seattle, WA. If you are in the area, I would love to meet with you personally, but rest assured, distance need not be an obstacle. I have supported clients with events at a restaurant in Chicago to a vineyard in France.

Q: How do I order custom designs?
